Slavs and Tatars’ residency-mentorship program is a non-profit project launched in 2018. The main objective of this residency program is to encourage the artistic and creative endeavors of those active in the cultural sector from the countries of Eastern Europe and Eurasia by supporting their professional training, mobility, and to assist them with building networks to leverage cross-border knowledge production.

The selection of participants is made by Slavs and Tatars in collaboration with partner institutions, which provide the financial support to sustain each of the residencies and who have knowledge about the local scene of concerned countries. The decision to make a public open call depends on each partner institution.

Please note that the residency program doesn’t accept unsolicited applications. In order to reach out to more potential residents from a given region, the collective is in active dialogue with cultural institutions and colleagues in the related region.
